Teacher accused of assaulting special needs student
A teacher at Ramsey Street High School is accused of assaulting a handicapped student.Dawn Owen, 52, of the 3000 block of Braddock Drive, was charged Monday with two counts of assault on a handicapped person, according to an arrest warrant in the Cumberland County Magistrate’s Office.The charges are misdemeanors.Both alleged assaults happened Feb. 5, the warrant said.Owen, a special needs teacher, is accused of hitting the student, a girl, on the head with a ruler, […]
