Parkton church offers free meals for first responders
Members of the congregation of First Missionary Baptist Church in Parkton didn’t allow COVID-19 to stop them from hosting the annual Blessing of the Badges ceremony. On May 17, they hosted a drive-thru service in which more than 200 donated meals were provided to first responders, police officers and medical personnel in Parkton and nearby communities. The Rev. Kenneth M. Jenkins is pastor of the church.
