1. Carver’s Creek State Park Trails Celebration: Celebrate the opening of Carvers Creek State Park’s new trail system at 10 a.m. on May 4. The N.C. Trails Program with funding from Recreational Trails Program grants has completed more than 10 miles of trails for the park. The new trail system will serve hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.
