Cumberland gives Riddle Stadium to FTCC
Cumberland County commissioners voted 5-2 Monday to give J.P. Riddle Stadium to Fayetteville Technical Community College.Commissioners Jimmy Keefe and Michael Boose opposed the move.Keefe said the stadium is a public entertainment facility that was given to the county by the Riddle family almost 30 years ago.“Re-gifting is just not appropriate,” he said.Keefe said he’d like to know how residents who use the stadium feel about the issue.
