Off-duty Fayetteville police officer shot in Sampson County
An off-duty Fayetteville police officer was shot in Sampson County on Monday night. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the officer was shot off Maxwell Road around 8:50 p.m. The officer was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville with serious wounds, the office said.
