Gaston County — Police say a Gaston County woman funded her drug habit by scamming an elderly woman out of tens of thousands of dollars. Gastonia Police officers pulled 37-year-old Tammy Lynne Erickson over during a routine traffic stop Monday, when they reportedly discovered cocaine and heroin she stored in a cardboard box.
