Reported shark bite at Bald Head sends one to hospital
BALD HEAD ISLAND — One person was taken to the hospital after a reported shark bite off Bald Head Island Sunday, according to Brunswick County emergency dispatchers. Dispatchers say they received the 911 call at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday. A person had sustained what appeared to be a shark bite near Beach Access 42 on Bald Head, dispatchers said.
