Historic Civil War battlefield home in Kinston succumbs to time
An old, once stately, house that was the home of a lieutenant of the Confederate Army and also headquarters for a general of the Confederate Army and witnessed the battle of Wyse Fork was torn down this week.The Robert Bond Vause House that sat surrounded by the Wyse Fork Battlefield off Bill Smith Road lay in rubble Monday.
