A former state senator who founded a Fayetteville medical clinic was in the cardiac intensive care unit at a Raleigh hospital Saturday night.Dr. Eric Mansfield, founder of Cape Fear Otolaryngology, is a patient at WakeMed, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
