Fatal Moore house fire victim identified
CARTHAGE — The Moore County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 70-year-old man who died in a house fire Sunday afternoon near Carthage.James Russell Overton, of the 700 block of Brinkley Road, died at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital after being treated for injuries suffered in a fire at his residence, the Sheriff’s Office said.There is no suspicious or criminal activity associated with the blaze, Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said Monday in a news release.
