IRS liens: NC mayor's business owes over $850K in federal taxes
GOLDSBORO— Tax liens filed against a North Carolina mayor’s construction contracting company say it owes more than $850,000 in federal taxes. The Goldsboro News-Argus reported Sunday the liens against Goldsboro Mayor Chuck Allen’s Allen Grading Co. posted to the state secretary of state’s website show 12 instances of unpaid taxes dating to 2013.The amount includes fees and penalties the IRS imposed.
