Hay Street to close at Amtrak station for crossing replacement
Hay Street will be closed at the Amtrak station for a railroad crossing replacement Tuesday, the city said in a news release Thursday.The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 20.Message boards have been placed at the location to notify drivers of the closing. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and take different routes into and out of downtown, the release said.Drivers will still be able to enter and exit downtown at Russell, Franklin and Rowan streets.
