Hope Mills Lake advisory issued
HOPE MILLS — Less than two weeks after a swimming ban was lifted, the town has issued an advisory about Hope Mills Lake water quality.The advisory says because of high bacteria levels, people who go in the water do so at their own risk.Town Manager Melissa Adams called the advisory a “precautionary measure in the interest of public safety.”Swimming was banned in the lake in May because of high fecal bacteria levels.
