Bid to ban abortions in Iowa after six weeks blocked by state Supreme Court
Because of a split decision announced Friday, a lower court ruling that the state’s so-called “fetal heartbeat law” is unconstitutional remains in effect. Abortions are currently legal until 20 weeks.
