Readiness at risk because of stalled promotions, defense secretary says
In a letter to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s (R-Ala.) block of quick military promotions poses a “clear risk” to the nation’s military readiness and directly impacts the lives of service members’ families.
