Man convicted of murdering N.J. trooper wins freedom after 49 years
Sundiata Acoli was an activist with the Black Liberation Army when he was involved in murdering a New Jersey State Police trooper in 1973. His parole was blocked for years despite an exemplary prison record. On Tuesday, he won his freedom.
