Texas Democrats plan to leave the state to block restrictive voting legislation and other GOP priorities
At least 50 House Democrats were en route from the state midday Monday to prevent Republicans from voting on a special session agenda that includes new voting restrictions. They would need to stay out of the state for weeks to prevent a quorum for the 30-day session, which is expected to last until early August.
