Lumberton shooting injures man
LUMBERTON — Lumberton police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured just after 9:30 a.m. Friday, according to a news release.The shooting was reported in the area of Cash and Kary Food Store on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Feronte Johnson, 19, of Alamac Road in Lumberton, told officers that he was walking in the area when he was shot, according to the release.Johnson was taken by private vehicle to Southeastern Regional Medical Center for treatment.
