Lisa Carter Waring: Old tree to be removed on Main Street
At a time when we all seem to be looking for some shade, one familiar old tree is scheduled to be taken down this week. The tree is at the Hope Mills Lake Park on the edge of North Main Street across the street from First Citizens Bank.As part of compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act at Hope Mills Lake Park, Duke Energy will be removing the tree because its roots are undermining the integrity of the Jack White Bike Path.
