Fayetteville council asked to eliminate Fields Road site for regional sports park
Land that the city owns on Fields Road near Interstate 95 should no longer be considered as the site of a regional sports park because of serious drainage problems, Mayor Mitch Colvin said Friday.But Councilwoman Shakelya Ingram, whose district includes the property, does not agree.The issue will be debated when the City Council meets at 5 p.m. Monday.
