Man injured in Maxton shooting
LUMBERTON — Three people were arrested after a man was shot in the leg on Tuesday in Maxton, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.The shooting was reported just after 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Jefferson Road in Maxton.Wallace Locklear suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, according to a news release.Investigators said Garry Dean Chavis Jr., 45, of Pembroke pointed a firearm as a deputy approached him, then tried to flee.
