Sex offender charged with attempted kidnapping in Fayetteville gets $1 million bail
A registered sex offender was arrested Tuesday after a 14-year-old girl told deputies that she was walking home from the bus stop and was approached by the man, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff‘s Office.Nathan Lynn Cooley, 34, of the 500 block of Williamsburg Drive, made his first court appearance on Wednesday and a charge of attempted second-degree kidnapping.District Court Judge Lou Olivera increased Cooley‘s bail from $250,000 to $1 million.
