1. Rumba on the Lumber: The annual Rumba on the Lumber 10K, 5K and family fun mile are scheduled for March 7. The 10K and 5K start at 9 a.m.; the family fun mile starts at 11. The annual festival around the downtown plaza in Lumberton is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes the North of the Border Chili Cook-Off as well as vendors, rides and music.
