Robeson bridge over I-95 to be closed and replaced
PARKTON — The Green Springs Road bridge over Interstate 95 in Robeson County will close Monday so workers can demolish it and replace it with a taller and longer span.The current bridge, which has no access to I-95, needs to be replaced to make room for a ramp that will be built as part of the Fayetteville Outer Loop (Future I-295) and I-95 interchange under construction south of Fayetteville, a state Department of Transportation spokesman said in a news release.
