Police ID Hope Mills man shot, killed in Fayetteville
A man was shot to death in Fayetteville on Thursday morning, the Fayetteville Police Department said Thursday.Lavon Jamel McMillian, 25, of the 4000 block of Esteem Court in Hope Mills, died from his injuries, the release said. His next of kin has been notified.Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 1400 block of Furnish Drive, around 3:15 a.m. Upon arriving, officers located McMillian on the ground and began life-saving measures, the release said.
