Merkel ready to talk to SPD, but no coalition renegotiation planned: spokesman
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is ready to talk to and work with the new leaders of her junior coalition partners, the Social Democrats (SPD), but new negotiations on their ruling alliance are not pending, Merkel’s spokesman said on Monday.
