Cumberland Sheriff: Child brings gun to school, mom charged
An 11-year-old student brought a gun to Elizabeth Cashwell Elementary School on Friday, and both he and his mother have been charged in connection with the incident, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.Personnel at the school, which is on Legion Road just outside the Fayetteville city limit, found the gun in the boy’s backpack and told Sheriff’s Office school resources officers, Sheriff’s Office Lt.
