Fayetteville police are investigating the suspicious death of a 7-year-old boy and have made two arrests, including the boy’s mother. Police arrested Evie Loretta Bates, 24, and Saint Michael Edwards, 23, both of the 1500 block of Sisal Drive, and charged them Wednesday with felony intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury in the death of Eathan Bates, 7.
