Diabetes symposium: Better Health is hosting its third annual Diabetes Symposium on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. at the Department of Social Services, 1225 Ramsey St. The event is free and includes 45-minute breakout sessions with medical experts, dieticians and diabetes educators. There will be a free healthy lunch from Scrub Oaks, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthy Blue, community vendors and door prizes.
