Lavonte Antonio Carter, the victim in the Fayetteville State University shooting, made his first court appearance Friday at the Cumberland County Detention Center on drug and gun charges.Carte, 20, walked inside the courtroom with the assistance of his mother, Shannon Carter, and another family member.
