Fayetteville man gets 18 years in federal prison

A federal judge has  sentenced a Fayetteville man to 18 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised probation, after a robbery involving a shooting  left a man paralyzed, according to a news release from the Eastern District U.S. Attorney’s Office.Ricky Fitzgerald Artis, 49, of Fayetteville was named in an indictment filed Oc. 18, 2018, on charges of possession of robbery and discharging a firearm.
