People step back in time at Lafayette birthday celebration
People got to step back in time to the Revolutionary War period on Saturday at Arsenal Park, where two historical groups entertained and put on demonstrations during the all-day event.The Museum of the Cape Fear’s Revolutionary War-era annual living history event was combined with the 2019 Layfayette Birthday Celebration, which included a birthday cake cutting, guided trail tours and other events to honor the Marquis de Lafayette.He was the namesake for the city of Fayetteville.
