Pedestrian hit, killed in Spring Lake
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Spring Lake on Wednesday night, according to a release from the Spring Lake Police Department.Officers responded to the report of a pedestrian being struck on the 1400 block of Lillington Highway at approximately 9:55 p.m., officials said.Shawn Chalmers, 36, was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling northbound on Lillington Highway.
