More than 150 people in Sampson County shelters
More than 150 people are in shelters in Sampson County as of 3 p.m. Thursday as the center of Hurricane Dorian moves closer to North Carolina, according to a news release from assistant county manager Susan Holder. The county remained under a tropical storm warning.Roads remain open and power remains on, the release said.
