Suspect in custody after standoff in Sampson County
CLINTON — Sampson County deputies responding to a reported shooting were involved in a standoff with an armed suspect on Friday night, according to a news release from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.Upon arriving at a residence on Big Pine Grove Road around 10:15 p.m., deputies found a man outside the residence suffering from a gun shot wound.
