1. Chicken and pastry fundraiser: The Vander Civic Association is sponsoring a chicken and pastry plate sale Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Vander Civic Association Building, 128 Rock Hill Road, Fayetteville. Plates include chicken and pastry, green beans, candied yams and a roll for $8. There is free delivery for 12 or more plates.
