Meyer texts urged Smith to stay, spurn Alabama
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer encouraged former assistant Zach Smith to remain on the Buckeyes’ staff in January 2018 rather than accept a position at Alabama, according to a text message exchange released by the university Friday.
