Chantal, we hardly knew ye. Folks in the Carolinas can breathe a sigh of relief — if there was ever any real reason to worry at all — about the storm that would be Chantal. After popping up in the Bahamas on Sunday and quickly becoming a tropical depression yesterday, the storm appears to have collapsed off the Florida coast mid-day Tuesday.
