U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown and Ron Wyden sent a letter to Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan today calling on him to crack down on imported cocoa produced with forced child labor. The senators cited an investigation by The Washington Post that found major chocolate companies including Nestle, Hershey and Mars had failed to keep a 2001 promise to Congress to eradicate child labor from their supply chains in West Africa.
