1. Citizens Academy: The next Fayetteville Citizens Academy will take place Aug. 14. It will start at the Kiwanis Recreation Center, 352 Devers St. Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and features Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation and the Development Services Department, which oversees planning, zoning, permitting and inspections.
