Live Wire: What is the gray or white film on my old VCR tapes?
Q: I have old VCR tapes, and I watch from time to time. I just picked one up and noticed some sort of white or gray film has formed on the tape. It seems to have caused some problems with replaying them. Does this affect the heads on the VCR?
