Cumberland Matters: Be prepared for Voter ID
Voter ID is not required for any election in 2019. However, starting in the 2020 election, voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in person or send a copy of their photo ID when voting absentee by mail.State Board of Elections officials encourage citizens to make sure they are prepared for elections next year by making sure they have an acceptable form of ID.
