Boating accident victim identified as 61-year-old Stedman man
A 61-year-old Stedman man has been identified as the missing individual from a Friday boating accident on the Cape Fear River, the Fayetteville Fire Department said.The department identified the body Monday as Jerry Taylor, of John Nunnery Road, after confirmation from the state Medical Examiner’s Office and detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department, a news release said.Taylor was a mechanic and “a pretty big outdoorsman,” said Ronald Prater, his son-in-law.
