Shaw University alumni celebrate historical college
The history of Shaw University was celebrated Friday night in Fayetteville at the 18th annual Shaw University Scholarship Banquet.Shaw University, established in 1865, is the oldest historically black college in North Carolina and it’s located in Raleigh with about 2,000 students.Through efforts of Fayetteville alumni, the chapter has been able to reach a $110,000 endowment for scholarships.More than 50 students in the area have received scholarships from the […]
