1. Breakfast with a veteran: Join VFW Post 4542 and American Legion Post 230 for a Breakfast with a Veteran event Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes eggs, omelets, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, grits and beverages. The price is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under. The event will be at VFW Post 4542, 1241 Pine Knoll Drive in Spring Lake. Proceeds benefit local veterans. It is open to the public.2. […]
