Independence Day celebrated with music, fireworks
America celebrates its 243rd birthday July 4.For 50 of those years, Fort Bragg has been celebrating right along with it.The post will hold its 50th Independence Day celebration July 4 with an all-day event on the Main Post Parade Field, culminated by a performance by rock band 3 Doors Down and, of course, fireworks.Theresa Smith, Fort Bragg special events coordinator, said about 60,000 attended the event last year and a similar crowd is expected this year.
