Sanders keeps distance from Omar, even as he defends her against accusations of anti-Semitism
“I’ve talked to Ilhan about twice in my life,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) during a Fox News town hall. He added, “I support a Muslim member of Congress not to be attacked every single day in outrageous, racist remarks.”
