1. Dog Day in the Garden: Celebrate all things dog on Saturday during Dog Day in the Garden from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cape Fear Botanical Garden. The event will feature music, a dog pageant, bounce houses, vendors, dog caricatures and a dog kissing booth. There also will be nail trimming and microchipping.
