Cumberland County school board approves budget
The Cumberland County Board of Education voted 5-2 Tuesday to ask county commissioners for $8.9 million more in local funding for next year.The board approved Superintendent Marvin Connelly Jr.’s recommended budget, which calls for $89.04 million in funding from the county in the 2019-20 fiscal year.
