Cross Pointe Centre shops reopen after gas leak evacuation
Shoppers and employees were evacuated from Cross Pointe Centre on Morganton Road Saturday afternoon after a construction crew struck a gas line under the parking lot, fire officials said.The incident was reported at 3:55 p.m. Saturday and firefighters responded to an odor of gas in the area.
